Above is a presentation I gave at a recent Chief Marketing Officers conference in Johannesburg. The presentation argues the case for scenario planning and agile | adaptive strategies as important tools to develop and implement strategies in an era of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. There is also an entry segment to the presentation that questions whether there is such a thing as brand strategy and suggests the concept of brand strategy is in fact business strategy (an old position of mine that has evolved to ask whether we should even talk about brand strategy).
Like with many of my presentations, a talking head is required to explain the image-only slides. Hopefully you will be able to get the gist of the presentation. I also storyboard most of my presentations before assembling them and thought it may be of interest to include below the storyboard for this presentation. In the end the presentation pretty much tracked the storyboard with some adjustments to meet the time constraint of the presentation.
