I use Groupon to play golf at places I normally wouldn't , and we were chatting to the manager of one of the courses the other day and asking about how Groupon had worked for them. He said that while it brings in the deal hunters, it's brought a lot of people to the course who normally would not have payed full price to play there, and more importantly, a lot of those have converted into purchasing memberships.
